School Meals

Lunch

Children can have either a school dinner or packed lunch at lunch time.

School dinners

School dinners are served in our separate dining room. We do encourage you to use this facility as it ensures that your child has a warm, balanced meal at lunchtime. The children are encouraged to taste everything. However if for a valid reason, your child cannot eat something or if your child has an allergy, please contact the School Office.

Bradford Council have now introduced a schools meal app, which you can download.  This is a great way to get all the information that you need about school meals at Wellington Primary School.  Click on the following link to find out more about how to download and use the app – School Meals App Poster

Packed lunch

If you prefer to send your child with a packed lunch, provision has been made for a lunch box shelf in the cloakrooms. Children are asked to bring a standard sized lunch box to fit on this.  Sweets should not be brought. All children are provided with water, if you prefer not to send a drink. If you are sending drinks to school with a packed meal, please ensure that they are in unbreakable containers and are well sealed to avoid spillage.

Important note:  Please remember that we are a nut-free school.  Please do not include any products in your child’s packed lunch that contain nuts.  This includes Nutella and any other chocolate spreads containing nuts.
